Hello everyone!!
In continuation of my equestrian and fox hunt related items, is this pair of vintage English huntsmen. I believe these were once part of a boot scraper and still had a large portion of the original base attached to these huntsmen's feet. I was able to remove that excess original base material. So, these were originally mounted on separate hardwood bases. My brother is a woodworker and made new bases for me and I remounted them the way they’re supposed to be.
Someone had also attempted to repaint these and didn't do quite so well. I was able to repaint these the way they're supposed to be. I'm not really sure how old these are or where these were made, but I'm thinking 1920 to late 1930’s and made in England. They're made of spelter and measure 8 1/4" tall and 3” wide. The bases are 4” square and 1 1/2” thick.

Thank you very much!! I found one of these last year, but the seller had a firm $$$$ price tag on it and I'm just not willing to pay that much for just one. Landed this pair for a fraction of that cost!!!!
