Hello everyone!!
I came across this piece recently and it was so unusual and so beautiful that I couldn't leave without it. It's a sculpture of twelve galloping horses made of terracotta and then copper plated. At first glance, I immediately thought it was cheaply painted resin. But, upon further inspection, I found it to be copper plated terracotta, something I'd never seen before. The sculpture is so nicely done and the artist captured every little detail. It's fairly heavy for it's size, at 4 1/2lbs, and measures 15" long and 4 1/2" tall. I call this vintage, but not truly sure about the age of this piece. But most items like this are made of resin in today's world.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
