DejaVu thank you for your marvelous comment, he is a nicely formed pig and the cranberry pink color is almost a true pig color
Scott this is one sweet piggy, he's a rather heavy fellow and would have to maneuver himself at the trough :) Thank you for your terrific comment
Phil it is a super modelling job by the talented glassmaker Mr Willson, I have several of his 1970s glass animals but realized this was one I missed, so seeing it online was a thrill. The head is particularly well known formed, there are grooves in it which gives this pig design a cool originality. Many thanks for your fabulous comment my friend
Such a lovely collecting area and 'this little piggy' is no exception.
Newfld if this little piggy ever came to market, a pretty penny he would bring home.....You just don't see that much wedgwood glass anymore....thx for sharing
Thanks all for the love

sklo42 thank you so much for your lovely comment I totally appreciate your kind words :) Yes this lil piggy is a wonderful addition to my collection, I tried my best to take good photos of him but at certain angles the black in the glass made it difficult esp to show the beautiful ribbed glass head. Mr Willson was such a master glassmaker
John you are so right, although Wedgwood is most famous for their jasperware, their glass items like the animals are not often seen and were really beautiful. I've posted a few others here in past years, you can see them by typing Wedgwood Glass in our Search box at top of the CW page. Thank you for your great comment
Thanks again to you both!
All the best, Jenni
