I had to take a close pix of this nice Mobile sign with a light covering of fresh snow on the ground. In Wyoming where most of these signs were originally posted, it’s rare to see pristine snow as the wind is always blowing so the snow normally drifts and stacks up.
I think this is a beautiful sight to see
The Carter sign in the pix also has a very interesting history. It was a company formed by John J Carter in 1893 in W Virginia and later Standard Oil of NJ bought controling interest. The refinery in the West was in Billings Montana. I think the Brand was changed in the mid 50s.
