Hello everyone!!
These have been sitting my shop for quite a long time as I wasn't sure what I was going to use them for. So, yesterday I decided to clean them, repaint them and put felt bottoms on them. I guess they could also be used as doorstops or bookends. From research, I believe these to be from the early 1900's, but hopefully someone here on CW can confirm that time period. They were very rusted when I bought them, but they cleaned up and painted well. They measure 13" tall and weigh 13.75lbs each!
Thanks very much for taking time to stop by for a look!!!

They look fantastic! You did a great job restoring them. Well done!
Handsome pair of black horse head hitching post tops, they resemble large chess pieces
DejaVu,
Thank you! They were actually quite easy to restore.
Jenni,
Thanks very much!! You know, when I completed these, and photographed them, I thought the exact same thing.
