Ceresota Flour is a brand of flour introduced in 1891 by the Northwestern Consolidate Milling Company, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company named it after an invented son of the Greek goddess Ceres, Ceres Ota. The Ceresota Building, also known as the Northwestern Consolidated Milling Company Elevator A, was built in 1908 and was the largest brick elevator in the area. The brand was gradually closed in the 1940s-1950s as American flour milling migrated to the East Coast.
