Hello to All,
I got a small box of these pins. There two stances, but I am not sure which one is right:
1. A pin for Missouri & Kansas Telephone, or
2. A safe driver pin issued by Western Electric. Supposedly, there was a route from Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas driven by Western Electric to deliver equipment. This is why there are so many pins like this minted: MO-ARK-ILl. I don't know.
Now, another perspective is the pin is related to Bell properties such as Southeast Missouri Telephone Company, Eastern Missouri and Arkansas Telephone, and even Nebraska Telephone Company. I have also seen this pin somehow tied to The Texas Telephone Company (an independent). All I can guess is these pins were distributed during a very transformational time at Bell Telephone. Please ket me know if you any information!
