Hello everyone!!
I didn't realize just how many match stick and matchbox holders I actually have, but I do have quite a few. Here's an English Bulldog matchbox holder I've had for a while. This fellow got stashed in a cabinet along with a bunch of others. I thought it was time to bring him out, clean him up and post him. The English Bulldog is made of spelter and the matchbox holder is made of tin. He's an old one and hales from the mid-late 1800's. Matchboxes tended to be a bit larger, back then, than they are today, but this was made to accommodate many sizes of matchboxes. It's small and measures only 2 3/8" long and 2 1/4" tall.
Thanks very much for taking time to stop in for a look!!!!
