Western Auto Supply was begun by 2 guys in Kansas City in 1909. John Pepperdine and Don Davis. It is the first example of franchise stores in America. They had thousands of stores all over the Country. We all bought auto parts from Western Auto Suppliers in the old days. After Sears bought them out in the late 80s it was soon a doomed biz.
This porcelain/neon sign was likely from the 1920s or 30s as it is much fancier than the more common round signs of the 1940s.
Any additional info regarding this sign will be greatly appreciated
