What are your thoughts on this? A friend of mine thought it was a toy. It's really gold and the images are coming back Spanish "pirate " dabloom. Please I need to know is it authentic? Why would a toy or replica be real gold?

I cannot judge whether your coin is real but see how easily fake coins are offered for sale.

Simple test..get a magnet. If it sticks..fake. if it doesn't then still could be lead or other material. Common sense says it's fake..this coin should be early 1700s. There's no wear pattern from years of handling.

Here's an old post of mine showing a collection of coins that a company used to sell similar to this.
