A bit of a mystery - no marks on the base at all.
Would love some help with this one.
Both are cut from the to, I suppose.
TIA
Red White & Blue - Over to You !!!
H : 9 cm or 3.5 "
W : 8 cm or 3.1 (widest on lid).
It’s beautiful!!
This is a very interesting piece, Kevin!
The satin finish is not often seen on this type of item. Spatter looks like it has some slightly "jagged" edges, rather than just all round/oval elements. The blue finial is also unusual! Mostly they tend to be clear. So there's lots of intriguing aspects.
I feel like I'd be stepping into a minefield here by offering a firm attribution, though!
I mean, I do strongly think it is Czech origin. But...Welz? Kralik? Others?
It will be interesting to hear Peggy's opinion as she has quite a lot of Czech/Bohemian lidded pots!
