    Etching of NYC in this frame found in grandparents garage. Unable to read artist name. Do not know time period it was drawn. Would appreciate any information.

      The artist that made this was Anton Schütz (German/American, 1894-1977) and the title is Metropolis.
      He emigrated from Germany in February 1924 to New York City. The first prints of this subject were made around 1927. Since your print is not dated it is not sure that this is one of these first prints.

      That is a big help! I could not even read the artists name so I am so glad you responded. That you so much! I wonder if I open it up from the frame it he might have signed the back. First, I think I will try to learn more about the framer and the years he was in business because likely it was framed about the same time as my
      grandparents acquired it.
