Victorian item

Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely Victorian Item which was one of my early finds, finding interesting things like this got me into going out looking for other interesting stuff that people had disposed of. I don’t know what these are used for and these are the only ones that I’ve come across, I didn’t know that they clip together till now.
