I`ve had this bed for a few years. I found a little info about the maker, but no info about this particular bed. When you fold the legs up, the head and foot boards fold down but I an not sure of the purpose of the fold down rounded parts. The bed is shorter than 6', maybe for children or since it is from the 1800`s possibly for adults.?. Guessing Victorian.?. Any info about this would be appreciated!! Thanks for looking!! Rob
Great antique folding bed Rob. Just a thought, maybe when the straight legs are folded up, would the rounded ones move so you could rock a child to sleep. Anyways a very creative design
Thanks Jenni, I thought about that, but there are no stops to keep it from going too far and rolling the child out on the floor. My only guess is the rounded ones make it easier to roll it up against the wall for storage since they also fold in.?. Thanks again!!! Rob
