This is the second early model Lawson clock that I have bought from Europe this one comes from the UK. When I saw it I wanted it. It is wired for the European market at 50 cycles and 220 volts, that didn't and doesn't matter it is an exceptionally rare clock and a Lawson release. The vendor did not want to ship to the US, can't say I blame her, but she did.
When I got it, it had a 50/220 cord on it, sort of like the ones we use for clothes dyers here. I snipped that right off and put on 60/120 plug and cord. A 50 cycle and 220 volt motor will run on a 50 cycle 120 volt cord, the motor will be fast, as this clock did, and will eventually burn out the motor if left running for a long time. I plugged the clock in and off it took (see video), it was even quite.
I took the movement out of the case, from the hinged top, and the right side was splitting so I glued it up and clamped it. The front feet also were damaged, I left them alone. It all went back together , the wood was dry so I gave it a Restore A Finish treatment, and it absorbed it like a sponge.
