I was returning to New Orleans from my home state of Kentucky. I bought a bunch of bottles of our local soft drink favorite Ale-8 to tow back with me and my mom put my haul in this box! It held 24 12-oz bottles of Ale-8 perfectly (they were in their 6-pack cardboard boxes). There are two strips of metal running part of the top and along the whole bottom of the crate's side panels, tacked in place. 12-16 is printed on white on the side. Any info in regards to year or era for this well preserved crate?
This may answer my question...I see faintly in the interior that 10-72 is indented. Still want a definitive answer if anyone knows...
This is newer, 1970s. Not too much value... $20 at most.
I don't plan on selling it! I love things like this and have been a collector nerd since I was very young! Have a few pairs of shoes in there now!
