This the clay Reliquary Box I referred to in my post. The same but slightly different. My best guess is that it from about 1900, and is suppose to be a "faux" antiquity used to decorate a Victorian parlor.
Wow. I just did some searching on the net after reading your post. There are none to be found, nor any pictures or information. Yours is like mine. How interesting. I have never seen another one till yours. I'm going to keep on trying to search. If I find out anymore information I will let you know. I have seen so called chalk art. Different kinds and from different places. Early 1900's and later. Thank you very much.
