This was a family hand me down. These 22 cals were a staple on the farm for critter control. It has a drop block single shot firing mech and is very accurate with an adjustable rear sight.I remember as a youngun saying to Mom"Goin out with the 22" and Mom would reply "OK be careful". I live in Nazi New Jersey ... Those were different times.
Eat your heart out Ralphie...Black Bart wouldn't stand a chance !!

Thanks again James !! Yeah I used to have a lot of fun plinkin with this old guy.
A beautiful firearm. You're a very luck person to have the history to go along with it. Keep and hand it down for generations to come. Very nice.

I have one just like it
Was it also known as " MY FAVORITE" ?
I started shooting blk. pdr. .58's in 1955 but always loved that back-up .22 for accuracy. Gave up long ago trying to explain how you can "bark a squirrel" & kill it without hitting it.
Still shoot blk. pdr. but miss my ole .22. Best fun-gun cal. ever made!
