It says Berryman Harley Davidson and also says Howard Gasch Electrical store next door. Maybe a laundry to the left. Is it East Coast USA?

This doesn't say where your photo is taken -- it's just an interesting aside -- there's an artist, melvin Hale, who colorizes old photo postcards, and he did this very same card -- kinda neat -- http://fineartamerica.com/featured/melvin-hale--berrymans-harley-davidson-c1914-featuring-a-harley-an-excelsior-and-pierce-melvin-hale.html

I think the last name of the electrical contractor is longer than Gasch. The window sign needs a few more letters after "Gasch" to finish that line. If we can get the electrical contractor's full name, there's a better chance to nail down the location.

On the above-mentioned artist's Flikr page, Mr. Hale lists this card's location as 912 9th street, NW Washington DC. You can read more about the business here:

For some reason I can't seem to get away from this post. (Queue Scary Music) I find it interesting that people post one post on CW and then they're gone, even it you've solved their mystery. Six years and poof away they go.
I would like to say thank you to MsDowAntiques and to Lori Kimball for solving this mystery.
