Saw this little Singer portable in amazing condition in a small vintage boutique shop this weekend. It wasn't for sale, but a family heirloom on display. Looked like the day it left the factory. No idea about model, vintage, etc, but it sure was a beauty.
We have two Singers of very similar style and vintage. One in a carry case like this and one in a wooden cabinet
I also have two of these little machines . It is called a 99 K . Nice little machines .
I have a 1950 singer portable sewing maching, its in mint condition, the case,some acc. i am selling it .

Came across a Singer Princess sewing machine. Serial Numer shows that it was made in 1879. Does anyone have information about this machine??

The serial number looks to me like "EM489547," which would put it in this block of serial numbers:

Judging from the style of the stitch length mechanism, it's probably a 99K31.
