i have this item that i have not been able to find any information on.
it is a table lighter, i think its 60's, it has a lovely patina and although it does have a patent number i have been uble to find any thing on it.
The"Mastercase" model circa around the 1930's according to Ronson advertisments. A superb additionn to any smoking accessory collection. Measures "4-3/8 X"2-1/2","5/8" depth. Marked " Ronson Mastercase,Trademark", also Newark,N J,USA,Patent Re:19023,Canada Pats: 288,148,289,889. Send for free book" How To Get The Most Out Of Your Lighter" Ronson Art Metal Works Inc. Newark 2, N J. I've seen them on ebay and other web sites and they range in cost anywhere from $12.00 - $180.00.
I was going to mention that it perhaps was a Ronson because the picture at the top left hand corner reminds me of my Ronson Whirlwind leather covered lighter that I've had for a while now. Ronsons are great lighters. Even though this isn't my item, I'm glad that you found this information. Great job. :-)
