"lovevintage" inspired me to post these pictures of our candy counter in our Antique store. This was a case of the display fixtures driving the business. In 1989 we bought the oak bean counter with the curve glass top at auction, or should say stole it, for $35. It was in rough shape. We had to replace the top and make a drawer and replace one curve glass. We were so happy with the restoration we had to find something to display init. Candy was perfect.
This led to more displays. Next was the old soda fountain backbar, then the 8' bolt cabinet with drawers and the marble top sales counter. This also started our collection of gumball machines, candy containers, vintage candy boxes, and apothecary jars.
We have tracked down as many of the old candies from our youth as we could find. We have wax bottles, rock candy, sen sen, licorice pipes, candy ciggaretts, bubblegum cigars, and a 5lb jawbreaker. Also stock jellybeans, candy corn, ect.

Do you have or remember some lollypops from way back when, that had the stick looped into the candy on both ends? Those were soooo good!!

I love the wax bottles...oh the memories!!!
