I found this a short time ago. It is a cast iron mechanical match receiver
with the logo of Nabor, Alfs & Brune, a San Francisco Whiskey Company
in the late 1800s. Their bottles are desirable, but sadly there is little in the way of other advertisement pieces. I have been told that there a couple of shot glasses with the company logo, but that seems to be the extent of it.
As of this date the item you are looking at is believed to be the ONLY DOCUMENTED PIECE OF ITS KIND. This was made by Sargent in Connecticut circa: 1890. If you have any imput I would love to hear from you.
Very unique find, never seen anything like it.
Ilikeart - I have talked with major Calif. whiskey collectors and the match receiver clubs around the country and no one has seen another.
Looks like a Great piece to Display! Def High Quaility!
