I got this radio from someone that didnt want it anymore. I've been looking for info on it and im not getting to far. It does work and it came with some records one was a firestone christmas edition. It needs some TLC Im not sure on what to do as far as cleaning it. And if it has value if I leave it as is.

You could clean it up, and even go as far as to refinish the wood casing and not harm the value. That would actually increase the value of an item like this.

I just got the identical stereo/radio yesterday for free. The original tags are still inside the body. It says : Super Sensitive Built in Air Wave Loop Aerial System, Montgomery Wards, WG&C Series 18 A87-861, 117 Volt Article 62-2720.
Any ideas of what year this was made or what its value would be today? The wood needs to be polished up a bit but the radio, turntable and speakers work just fine.
