Looking for any help on trying to date this 7 UP sign. I came across it in a Manitoba farm town where it once was hanging in a small grocery store/post office. There is no date on the sign. It is Canadian and has the St Thomas Metal Signs LTD stamp on it. I believe it is pre 1965.

This looks like the same vintage as the coke sign ,late '40's/early '50's. Great looking sign.

the bottle is a easy way to date the sign im pretty sure that bottle was in use during the 1960's up until 1970's, so the sign was most likely made than. cool sign thanks for showing it.

Your description doesn't specify the measurements - but my thought is that this could have been a "push plate" for a store in the late 60's. They used to make advertising signs and attach them to screen doors for the customer to push on when coming in or out of the stores.... thus saving the screens from being pushed out of shape as easily.

      Thanks for all the comments.
Henrietta, thanks for the post. Yes I never mentioned size. I don't have the exact dimensions handy but its aprox 18 in x 52 in, so definitely a wall sign.

That bottle design actually dates back to at least 1936 and was used up until the 60's. With the famous 'swimsuit girl' on it. It's probably 50's. And in beautiful shape. Thanx for sharin that.
