    (310 items)

I purchased several of these at an estate sale. They are app. 23" tall and 5" across the base.
Here is what is on the bottom: 90 MM, M19, LOT 21, R M CO.-1945, SHELL M71, FLASHLESS, SMOKELESS, AMM. LOT RVA-8-45
There is what I presume to be a primer tube in the middle of the shell, app. 21 inches long. The tube has holes running vertically. There is some white subatance down in the tube and visible in the vertical holes.
The top has crimp marks, where the projectile was attached.
They appear to be in pretty good shape, several small dents.

Multi use in WW2: anti- aircraft guns, anti- tanks guns and some tanks.

The round had a high explosive round that is gone.

It sounds like the propellent is gone-- would have filled the shell.

The primer doesn't appear to have been hit, so it may still be active. As long no one beats on the pin, you will be safe.

      They do have collector value.

Check with your PO about mailing.

I found this site with a few things listed in it such as; 18835 U.S. 90MM GUN (90 x 600mmR) BRASS CARTRIDGE CASE- 1953 dated- SUPER NICE! - This is a really super condition brass case, M19, Lot number FA 4-4 1953 that has been arsenal downloaded and deprimed. The 90mm cannons M36 and M41 were mounted in the M46, M47 and M48-M48A3 series tanks and the M54 cannon on the nifty M56 “Scorpion” anti-tank vehicle. These guns all used the same 90mm ammo. Marry this case up with a nice 90mm projectile of your favorite type (or whatever you are lucky enough to find…) and it will be a great display piece. INERT- no explosive or flammable components.
This is a for profit site so i did not list the price. But here is the url: http://oldguns.net

This old military stuff is neat to see. As I was cleaning out one of my shops last week I ran across an old M-79 shell I brought home from Nam and a live M-49A1 that I forgot I even had.
