I'm no expert but I don't think the lamp is that old. I have a lamp with Dale Tiffany brass plate on it and it came from JC Penney. I've had my lamp about 10 years. It's still a nice lamp and enjoy.

Maura, it's a very pretty lamp and know you will enjoy it.

The trademark "Heart Tiffany" was filed on March 26, 1982, but was revoked by the trademark appeals board on May 3, 1985.

Hi allison, not sure if you where able to see the one post from solver about a trademark being filed in 1982 but was revoked in 1985 they found more info then i was able to so it is not old but it is a pretty lamp not sure of the value Good luck.

Okay...so back in 1981 a friend of mine is selling these beautiful Heart Tiffany lead came stained glass lamp shades out of the back of his van. The way I remember the story...Heart Tiffany was owned by a young couple in New London CT. and they worked out of an old factory. The owners of the company had friends and relatives driving all over New England selling these lamp stands and shades to whoever would buy them. I remember the 18" hanging shades retailed for $425. - $450. (1980 dollars). I'm thinking Heart Tiffany was gone prior to 1985 because I bought 6 or 8 shades and lamps from my buddy really cheap in 1983 when the company couldn't pay his commission. Anyway I still have a few of them (not for sale) There trade mark was a little heart shaped piece of stained glass somewhere leaded into the shade..... great quality stuff.

Hi Maura, I'm hoping you (or anyone on here) can help me solve the mystery of my lamp! I have a Heart Tiffany lamp shade that's rose boarder, and my base looks exactly like yours but the underside of the base has LLWMC 9777 stamped to it. (which is Loevsky & Lovesky White Metal Corp.) Does your base also have this? I'm thinking it was pieced together or possibly the base was purchased/sold by Heart Tiffany, but it would be very interesting to see if your shade has the same base manufacturer! Thanks!!

Whoa, that's a beautiful lampshade. Thanks for pulling this up, breeze. I realize you are asking more about the base than the shade but perhaps the comments in the thread will be of some help to you.

Heart Stained Glass in New London, CT was started in the '70s on Westwood Avenue in New London, CT. It was owned and operated by Andy Freeman of New London. They later moved to the corner of Ocean Avenue and Squire Street in New London where Vinnie Impellitteri became his partner. I knew both of them personally. I believe the business was later sold or closed, I am not sure which. Each piece of glass is hand cut, copper taped and then soldered. There were molds to hold the pieces in place as they were soldered. Patina is applied to the solder to give it an aged look. Once this process was completed, the plates for the light fixture were installed.

Hmm... this person MAY actually know more. Is in New London and started his career in stained glass in 1973, putting him in the time frame of the Heart Stained Glass Co. He MAY have more information about your lamp.

What a beautiful lamp. Love the colours and the Craftsmanship. Was it inspired by the LC Tiffany and co-Wisteria model?

Beautiful Wysteria style lamp. I can't offer you any info on the maker, but as far as value goes, these lamps are anywhere from $450 up.
