This is a partiotic cabinet card view of the bugler of Company K, 16th US Infantry Regiment.
The image was photographed by McKay of Omaha, Nebraska and was taken while the Regiment was stationed at Fort Crook.

Photos are the all encompassing collectible-- they compliment other antiques/ collectibles and show the objects in the actual era of use (within the last 150 years). They are easy to store and display well and can usually be obtained for prices considerably less than the objects.
I have seen antique photographs (showing similar items) displayed with militaria, advertising, dolls, toys, tools, etc...
