I found these 2 at my favorite place. They are very pretty but both have some canvas damage. the funny thing is that the canvas does not look that old. it looks like it could have been re-stretched re-framed because the wood is newer. I don't know what I am talking about but aren't they nice? Info please.

They look like they're signed JW Waterhouse. That's John William Waterhouse 1849-1917. What size are they? If they're original by him they're worth roughly $75,000-$150,000. I'd take them to a local appraiser and get them checks out. They're beautiful either way.

These appear to be art prints on canvas. If they were original oil paintings they would have ridges where the brush strokes would be and the canvas would show serious age. These are very popular prints. Hang them and enjoy them for there beauty. I believe the originals are probably in a museum.

I just saw a copy of the second one in an antique mall in fort worth. i will have to go back and check how much they want for it.

Not original. The originals are in British museums. They look like giclee prints...still very nice copies of well known Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces.
