I purchased this beautiful plate at an estate sale today. So far, from what I have been able to figure out is that this is from the Imperial Glass Co., and it's called a lace edged Katy? plate? And it was probably made in the 1930s. The colors are amazing! I took some pictures of it outside today on my gas grill cover, which is black. That's all I did and the pictures came out like that! Anyway, what seems to make this one different from any other ones I've seen is that this isn't exactly the same as the Katy blue or Katy green because of the cloudy iridesdent middle which matches the lace edge - all the others I've seen have clear glass in the middle. Does anyone happen to know the name of this pattern? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
you're correct it is Imperial Glass in their 'Laced Edge' pattern; that's the only name they gave it in the catalog. Collectors have 'attached' the name 'Katy' as well. The color is blue opalescent and there are variances in the actual extent of the white opalescent effect. They gave an item number in the catalog according to plate size beginning with 749_.
Awesome! Thank you so much!
