We inherited this vase from my wife's aunt. All we know is that is possibly early 20th century. Is it possible to detrmine origin and value?
We would appreciate any information that is possible.
    Thank you
    Nick and Barb

I have to add my own experience here with these specially marked porcelain pieces made especially for the Imperial Palace, early 19th, while the Empress Dowager Cixi was in power, 1861-1908.
As she was a patron of the porcelain kilns in Beijing, she could commission some pieces to her liking. It is documented that these bore a lozenge mark such as this:

I meant late 19th early 20th, sorry for the typo. Thanks for posting.

It's a huamei (Garrulax canorus) bird and wisteria, two designs beloved by Cixi. The quality of the painting, the marks, and the porcelain, in general, tell me this is later, probably in the last 50 years.

actually i disagree because the mark is republic and and the glazing is republic, tod was on the right way but this an knock off
