This belongs to my Son in law and daughter it is very old. The utinsels are softer silver. This is not plated silver. They do not know how old it is or who the maker is or anything about it. It came in this box. They think it might have been made by Navajo or Hopi Native American's but are not sure. Does anyone have a clue about this design on the box and any ideas on the silverware as to the maker. There are no identifying marks on it. Except the signiture or name in corner of the box. Which is a wood silverware box. They would like to find out who made it and what the value might be. They do know it is genuine silverware not plated.
Hi, I've just seen this. By now, you might well have solved your mystery. In case you haven't, here's a link to a grand page for researching silver. Scroll down towards the bottom and you will find two links for researching Native American silver. Wish I could be of more help, but I've never seen this silver before. Best wishes for success!!! : )
