    Found at a Local Tag Sale , was someones Grandfathers from a Manhattan Furniture store Long Ago , anybody know anything about this model , The year? or the Item in general, Machine appears to be in great working order. All the keys work and the ribbon still has ink in it that works , any info at all- appreciated! email Glen@ElmontGlass.com

      Yeah this is definitely the KMM. Looks to be late 1940s. They switched to gray in the late 40s. The first KMM desktops were black and Royal began manufacturing them in the late 30s early 40s. Generally typewriters like this are worth more sentimentally than in cash. The market is flooded with them. Sites like http://www.mytypewriter.com still maintain the real value of such pieces (around $1000) but because so many are found in yard sales and on ebay, its hard to get more than $30-40 out of them. Great find though they are wonderful machines.

      If you look inside and find the serial number, go to typewriterdatabase.com and you should be able to find all the data you need for this beauty
