OK, to be frank, this stunning piece of glass by Wuerttembergischen Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), Germany, scares the crap out of me. The rim is so thin and delicate, it almost seems to be made of crystallized sugar. One ding to this rim, and I don't think we're talking chip, but break. This form is represented in old WMF catalogs from 1928 as schale (bowl) J.66. Each piece of Myra Crystal takes four work days to make. The depth of color and irisation are impressive in person, and the richness of the layers seems to move and change with different light conditions. This is my first piece of Myra, and I look forward to finding more!

I have two pieces of WMF Myra. They are perfect and one has an original WMF label on the bottom. I still don't understand why it sells so cheaply........it's just as fine as Tiffany or Steuben.

This is lovely bohemianglass. Love your description that it feels like its made of crystallised sugar:)
I recently bought a plate, never heard of Myra or WMF, except in metal ware, so had no idea what i was getting. I'm amazed at how thin & lightweight it is. Like it could snap so easily. It was a real surprise, for some reason i expected it to be thick & chunky. Mine has a chip unfortunately, but then I'm not surprised! Its so fragile. I hope it survives ok with me, my track record isn't great.
