    This set of Loetz candlesticks was produced sometime after 1918 due to the presence of the later acid etched oval signature. Finding a matched pair still together was icing on the cake. The lower portion is covered in cobalt blue papillon. Its interesting to see the color variation beweeen the two. They stand over 8" tall.

      I like how they repurposed a prototypical art nouveau papillon decor for use in a decidedly deco design. Striking forms.
