Made circa 1902 the iridescent surface decoration is called Silberiris. To get this effect, it is covered in a stencil. Wax is applied and then the vase gets an acid bath. The uncovered areas subjected to the acid leave the etched design behind. Its a technique that Steuben would copy some 20 years later. The electric iridescence is so bright, these pieces are sometimes mistaken for Carnival Glass.

Awesome, Tony! Of course, it only took Kralik a year or two. :)
