Kralik Iris decor is another mark similar to the bambus decor- a foil sticker. I have only come across 10 or so pieces with the sticker still on them; one assumes it was removed before displaying.
To collectors these pieces are called "flashed" pieces and come with a ground top or a fire polished one. They were made between 192-1938 in Czechoslovakia. It is believed by some that "Iris" is named for the finish placed on the piece as a last step in production. The finish was most likely sprayed onto the surface and re-fired to create a mirror finish. I tried to show the internal variety of internal decor:
1. Confetti
2-3. Confetti with canes
4. Powder
If you have a piece with the Iris sticker please give me a shout as I am trying to determine witch flashed decors had the stickers.
