This cabinet card depicts an 1880s policeman from Mansfield, Ohio.
He is shown in this image with his badge visible "1" and drawing his club.

Very cool picture of 1800s policeman Scott! I wish I could see his Billy Club up close, I've got one and am wonderin what era it's from.

Thanks bellin. The uniform and hat is very typical of late 19th/ early 20th century American police.
Many folks associate the hat with the UK and are suprised to see it in US images.
