    i was told this was a sailmakers palm and dont know much about it. it has a built in thimble with twelve dimples in it and has a three sided needle. other than that, im drawing a blank as to age and value. any input would really help.

      Also made for shoe, boot ,saddles makers anybody that does heavy hand sewing

      c'est une paumelle utilisée autrefois par les marins pour réparer les voiles des bateaux. En cuir, et aussi très épais pour la protection de la main.Le marin passait le pouce dans le trou et poussait avec la paume à l'endroit des alvéoles.
