    I don't know much about Philco radios and about this particular one - I just know that it is the 1929 model. It works, but needs some restoration. I need to figure out whether it is worth restoring.

      It looks like Philco 65 Lowboy. (http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philco_65.html)
      To me, these are always worth restoring - especially if it works already!

      RESTORE IT! RESTORE IT! I would take Bobber57 advice. It works. You are ahead of the curve. You'll be surprized at how much more the wood grain will pop out. beautiful piece.
