Got this large stone today; it is not a carved rock and is unpolished but has a carved wooden asian stand made for it. Looks like a river rock. Not sure what kind of stone it really is? Do any rock hounds have a clue what this huge river rock is, let me know? Scratches black? Last photo under table light, no flash.

Pretty big rock to be jade. Would be nice if it was; it was real cheep. Nice hardstone with great colours. Its just a rough stone and not polished. You would think real jade would be carved and polished. It is some kind of rough stone specimen I think? Three pounds of jade for $9.00 would be nice!!!

toolate2, went to local rock shop and they said positively without a doubt nephrite jade and for $85.00 they would get me a certificate. Only in America do you spend $9.00 for a green rock on a stand and you need an $85.00 piece of paper claiming its a green rock?

Went through a zillion jade items on eBay and could not find any that looked like this? Back to being a mystery rock; people keep telling me "real jade" is not green?

I got a lot of stone carvings. Just got an internet one; but it looks to be a stained leaded glass, not cold, has air bubbles under the dark staining. Warm like a hard plastic molded glass one.
