Here's a really banged up, wool soap porcelain sign. It's small compared to my other porcelain signs, but it's I think this one is early. I tried to show pictures of the back to show how crudely it was made, with the drippings on the back. The porcelain is also really heavy, the sign itself must weight close to 7 pounds. I would appriciate if someone out there could tell me it's approximate era of creation. My guess is probably late 1890's-early 1900's when Swift and company was really advertising the stuff. The places where it isn't banged up still have vivid, deep blue colors.
