Mystery Painting

This is a mystery, The painting you see here came from a collection that once belong to a woman of great wealth,she loved this painting above all others in her collection.The frame is covered in 24k gold sheet guilding. The painting for it's size is very heavy.We beleave it to be early 19th century,maybe french school. We do know the family that owned it traved the world from the mid 1800's to late 1960's. Was handed down from one generation to the next. I think it is a duch artist,others think it ma be german. I feel I should know this work something about the style. Help lol
