Just in from across the pond, an exciting variation on a late 1930s deco-era Loetz decor.
Ground: Crystal, blown in wave-optic mold, stripes of green granules with red trailing.
Last photo is taken from Loetz "sample photos" shown in the back of Loetz Boehmisches Glas, 1880-1940, Band 2 (Musterschnitte) and shows two examples of this shape.
There are further examples of Ausf. A and C (and Schaumglas) on the excellent loetz.com and kralik-glass.com websites.
I used to think the difference was in the threading - Ausf A had short, broken "zig zag" type threads, whereas C was more of a continuous winding around the piece. Now, I'm not so sure. This deserves a closer look...
