I found this piece on the last day of a two-day flea market, on my third pass through the aisles - the blood red color coupled with a dark background and placement on a bottom shelf cause me to nearly miss it!
Pieces like this one by Kralik were made by taking a base color of glass, wrapping it in a contrasting colored winding, then blowing it further into a mold. This one was then given an acid bath for good measure to give it a satin finish. It has a ground and polished pontil where it was held for tooling so that the rim could be fire-polished and bent up to accept the applied handle. The color is exquisite in person. The last photo shows a piece from what I believe is the same line, although the yellow piece differs in that it has a white lining. Both pieces are not marked or signed.
