I found this "coin" as you see it, in a roll from a bank box. It is metallic.
Googling PMG produced a web site. Inquiries to PMG resulted in a response that it was issued by the Tasmanian Post Master General. Upon following that lead I was informed by an editor of an Australian error mag that if a coin was issued by them (TPMG) that it would have been highly publicizeed and it was felt this had nothing to do with TazPMG.
    Any info will be appreciated.
However it is very satisfying to have and ponder.

You might contact Paper Money Guaranty (PMG) to see if they had a coin made for advertising purposes.

I believe it is "play money." I have seen plastic versions of that same goofy image of Lincoln on play money. They probably made a metallic version of it too. If I recall correctly, the play money was made by Imperial Toys.

Oops - scroll down on that ^^^ page. It is PMG, and it's plastic. Are you sure it's metal? What is on the bacK? How about a full picture of the front out of the roll?
    5. Celiene Celiene, 9 years ago
Wait - the plastic one does not have 'In God We Trust' on it.
    6. Celiene Celiene, 9 years ago
Wait. The In God We Trust is from a different penny. You can see part of Lincolns head. The coin in the wrapper has Liberty above the head.

My Betty Lous is jerking our chains. WTF???

Most of the letters look double struck, which may add to the value, if worth anything.
