I found this 12 pack of Blue Jet Corporation matchbooks when cleaning out my mother's house after her death. It still has the cellophane around the bunch. It says on the books that Blue jet was a subsidiary of Draper Corporation which I found out was a Company established in 1816 and sold high speed spindles to textile companies. Draper looms are still used today. Production ceased in the mid 70's. I cannot find out any information about Blue Jet Corporation so I would like to know why the man pictured on the covers wears a hardhat. My father was a logger ( faller) and wore a similar hat so maybe he got these matches when he bought a hardhat int he 1950's?
