Desert Storm 1990-1991, this beret is from the 504th Airborn Infantry RGMT, 82nd Division. Nice find on Ebay, got it for $19.00 with FREE shipping. Desert Storm stuff is starting to get hot, and I have noticed the prices of Kevlar helmets go up, and the 6 pattern Chocolate Chip BDU's climb in price too. You know you are getting old, when the things that were around when you were in the service are becoming "collectible" LOL

I knew I was getting old when the young soldiers I was in charge of had dates of birth that were more recent than my active service date.

I've often wondered about the trunk full of mementos of my own military service and thought of some future collector thrilled to add them to his/her collection. That's a nicer thought than them ending up in a landfill.

Thats right Chrisnp. At least Army stuff is collectible. My Navy uniforms will one day be used as a halloween costume, or cut up into rags. NO ONE collects Navy Uniforms. Not unless you were an officer, a Navy Seal, or have WWII patches & insignia on them....But its everything else in my collection thats collectible!

There's always a collector out there for everything. I believe AR8jason collects Navy. In the early 1990s I managed to get good money for my ex-wife's uniforms from someone who specialized in WAC and later female uniforms and insignia, even though the uniforms were from the late 70s and early 80s.

I still have my old Red Beret from the late 80's early 90's and my Black when we were forced wear them and the Special Forces were forced to change the color of theirs to Brown. I felt they should have let them keep their black and everybody else go to Brown. Since the Beret is hated by most they have gone back to the Ball Cap and soon the black may be gone or only worn in dress uniform.

What I need are some heads to display them all on.
