My grandmother received this set of dishes as a gift from her nephew. We believe he was stationed in Korea in the early 1950's. He purchased them while on tour of duty. They came out of the china cabinet a handful of times for special family gatherings and both my grandmother and my mother treasured them.

We have not been successful in our search to find this mark and are curious about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Agree with jwendell222 Japan "Mountain virtue" set. The mark indicates the name for a shop which is selling products from its own kiln, distinctively decorated pieces, by Kutani trained artists. Before 1954
