I had never seen anything like this in my life and it was so different I had to buy it and I wonder if anyone else has seen anything like this?

The doll is a carnival prize. Looking at applied eyes and am relatively certain her had and shade are made of crepe paper if original, and the good color/paint I Would guess she is made of pink chapk if you were to look at the bottom - you can even make a small scratch to verify. She would have been a carnival prize in the 1920's. After 1929 they began to be made of white chalk, the paint was slopped on and they were not good looking at all. It is amazing you have what looks like an original shade! Very nice piece!
